The Candidate:

• Previous experience managing fast track commercial fit out projects up to £6M
• Relevant mechanical qualifications/certification i.e SMSTS
• IT Literate, experienced in Excel, Word, Programme Software.

Job Overview:

• Build a good working rapport with Client, consultant and key members of the supply chain, ensuring there is good open dialogue throughout the project.
• Oversee the works of the Assistant Project Manager/ Site Supervisor /Apprentice Project Manager where required.
• Plan, procure and organise labour, materials and plant activities.
• Ensure all activities are delivered to the agreed time, cost, and specification.
• Ensure all sub-contractor and equipment orders are placed on time to suit the programme and also the costs meet the target values on the Project Cost Report (PCR).
• Liaise with the project surveyor to ensure they have all the relevant information to prepare costings and enable applications/invoices to be issued to clients on time.
• Comply with technical, contractual, quality, legal and health & safety standards.
• Monitor progress against the Clients programme and check that all target dates are achievable.
• Develop a Sale programme, continually checking all trades are informed of and can achieve key milestones and update progress dropdowns to be included in weekly Progress Reports.
• Attend weekly meetings with the Clients management team to review programme, progress, and site-coordination.
• Prepare Technical Submissions, RFIs, Builderswork Requests, Benchmarks, Progress Reports to be issued to the client as instructed by the Contracts Manager.
• Review and coordinate Sale drawings in collaboration with subcontractors and other trades.
• Carry out and issue reports of self-snagging, oversee subcontractor snagging, and close out Client snag reports in timely manner to ensure a smooth Project Completion.
• Prepare suitable and sufficient Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure the works are correctly planned and can be carried out in a safe manner.
• Ensure that all personnel are competent to carry out their duties.
• Ensure that all equipment used on site complies with the relevant regulations.
• Ensure that all necessary inspections are carried out in accordance with the regulations and project specifications.
• To ensure that all accidents and near misses are reported and investigated as required.
• Ensure that Sale as a contractor comply with their duties under CDM 2015.
• Attend Pre-Construction Site Surveys and Tender Presentations ad hoc, as requested.
