The Candidate:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience of QS experience in relevant field.
• Previous experience within the fast-track commercial fit out market for Mechanical and Public Health Services.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Creating Cost Reports, Managing and Budgeting Forecasts. Sale use Construct Manager Software package to formulate cost reporting.

Job Overview:

• Prepare budget estimates, cost plans, cash flow forecasts.
• Evaluate all contract documentation to enable agreement of full order from the client.
• General administration of the contract including issuing of all relevant notices and certificates.
• Evaluate the tender submission and inclusion of this when in receipt of the contract order.
• Prepare monthly valuations including all variations for agreement with the client
• Submission of all variations to client and agreement of same including whether the extra works have any bearing on the contracted programme.
• Plan and procure supplier and sub-contractor packages in conjunction with CM to secure the best overall commercial deals and meet the Project Cost Report (PCR) target values and ensure these are placed in good time to meet the requirements of the programme.
• Work closely with the CM to produce procurement schedules linked to the construction programme and the PCR’s.
• Manage all subcontractor contracts including carrying out pre-order meeting Assessments.
• Attend meetings with clients pre and post contract and represent the company in a professional manner to ensure best commercial settlement for projects.
• Carry out monthly PCRs for submission to the Directors.
• Submit and agree final accounts with clients.
• Submit and agree final accounts with contract appointed subcontractor.
• Look ahead and plan all aspects of the project financially, identifying potential challenges and bringing imaginative and cost-effective solutions.
• Monitor progress against programme and on site to enable full preparation of valuations and all cost reports.
